Meet Erin Rayburn
Founder & Clincial Director
Erin established her private practice in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 2010 and founded Chattanooga’s first equine-assisted psycho-therapy program with Georgiana Pollock at Rock Bluff Stables on Lookout Mountain. She also quickly became known as one of Chattanooga’s top therapist specializing in treating Eating Disorders. Currently, she focuses on working with high achieving individuals such as business owners, executives, athletes, couples, families in group sessions, parents, and those suffering loss. She founded Evergreen Therapy to develop and support experiential therapies such as equine psychotherapy, yoga therapy, play therapy and more, which all are offered at the practice today. Additionally, she saw a need where students transition from academia to the workforce full-time after graduating and has committed to developing a platform where graduate students can pursue their degrees and licensure while preparing to enter private practice full-time.
Her vast expertise in psychology has been featured in Forbes Health, Men’s Health, New York Post, and more. Erin completed her graduate degree in Marriage and Family therapy at Richmond Graduate University; today she holds a multitude of licenses and certifications including LMFT, LPC-MHSP, NCC, AAMFT approved Supervisor, HOFSTEDE International, and Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy.
On a personal note:
Erin was born into a military family where she grew up traveling and relocating around the United States, always finding joy when riding horses and spending time with nature wherever her family lived. After settling in North Carolina, she became focused on competing in horse jumping and decided to pursue riding at Sweet Briar College in Virginia for several years before switching to studying psychology.
Aside from private practice and working on her farm, Erin also enjoys traveling, coaching and training horses and riders, rides competitively, and engages in the Chattanooga community through non-profit participation and enjoying the beautiful trails.
