Meet Madeline Free
Marriage & Family Therapist Intern
Madeline's passion is working with children and adolescents who have suspected or diagnosed Autism Spectrum Disorder (Levels 1 & 2), OCD, and ADHD. She helps children and their families navigate challenges such as emotional dysregulation, behavioral issues, and relationship distress that often coincide with these diagnoses. Early intervention through collaborative work with parents and caregivers is extremely important to Madeline. Fostering healthy development and strengthening family relationships are the essential goals Madeline works towards with her clients.
"I enjoy getting to know each child personally and tailoring my sessions to each child’s needs. I do this by using a variety of play therapy & art therapy techniques, CBT & DBT skills, and especially by viewing the child’s significant relationships through an attachment-based lens, often involving family members in our work together," says Madeline.
While achieving her master’s degree and pursuing a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy, Madeline's ability to attune to her clients needs as parents, caregivers, and family members is what sets her apart.
