Meet Nancy Kate

Clinical Mental Health Counseling - Intern

Nancy-Kate is a Counseling Intern pursuing a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is committed to creating a space where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and relationships in a way that feels safe and meaningful to them.

Nancy-Kate works with individuals and couples navigating a range of life experiences, including relationship challenges, communication patterns, stress, and periods of transition or uncertainty. She has a particular interest in how people experience connection, communication, and change within their relationships. Her training includes familiarity with attachment-based concepts, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and Gottman-informed approaches to couples work.

She is especially interested in supporting individuals navigating perimenopause and menopause, recognizing that this stage of life can bring shifts in mood, identity, relationships, and overall well-being. As part of her training, she is continuing to build knowledge of the emotional and relational aspects of these transitions and aims to offer a space where clients can process these experiences and feel more grounded and understood.

She views counseling as a collaborative process where clients can explore their inner experiences while building greater clarity and confidence in how they move through the world. Her goal is to support clients in strengthening their sense of agency, navigating challenges, and deepening their connection with themselves and others.

Outside of her clinical work, Nancy-Kate enjoys spending time outdoors, cooking, and traveling. Having lived in multiple countries, she values connecting with different perspectives and experiences, which continues to shape how she engages with others.

All services are provided as part of her internship training and are under the supervision of Erin Rayburn, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Supervisor, Licensed Professional Counselor.
